Our workshops, in the same spirit as the nine-day Vision Quest, provide an opportunity to enter the natural world for healing, reflection and renewal. You don't have to travel far to take advantage of the beauty and mystery of the wild. The rustling of the wind, the sound of your footsteps on the rough earth, the sunlight filtering through the trees--all these can help you recognize where you've been and where you need to go, reconnecting with your deepest truths.
...the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting--over and over announcing your place in the family of things.
For the coming year, we will again offer these shorter programs on a regional basis, in these geographic areas: Sonoma County, the East Bay (California), Vermont, Kansas City and Seattle.
The Vision Walk is our shortest program, an one-day immersion in nature and spirit that has the power to impact lives.
We also offer a home-study version of the Vision Walk, for people who would like to undertake the program on their own, with staff support and guidance.
The Soul Quest is a three-day program, often presented over a weekend, that is often presented with a camping option, but does not involve an overnight solo. This program allows for more time in the natural world and for deeper reflections about the journey.
The Mirroring and Guide Skills workshop is a 5 day program that presents that focuses on mirroring—the practice of reflecting life stories--and essential skills for guiding people on rites of passage in nature. We practice using mirroring to clarify intent, develop a confirmation sentence, and illuminate solo stories, among other applications, and we present program models to which these skills apply.
